Winnipeggers look to warm up from the frigid weather

WINNIPEG – Winnipeggers are in the midst of the coldest winter in 35 years, and places to warm up are proving to be popular.

“They are staying longer in the spa just to enjoy the steam and sauna before going outside because it’s really cold,” said Penni Gamble-Scramstad, the assistant spa manager at Riverstone Spa.

Many hot yoga classes have also been quick to fill up. The room temperature for the lunch time class at Yoga Public on Thursday was set at 38.2 celcius. Sixty degrees warmer than the temperature outside at the time.
