WATCH: A father and son were found dead at the base of Mount Fairview on the shore of Lake Louise yesterday afternoon. The two were reported missing earlier in the day which prompted a search RCMP with the help of Parks Canada.
A tragic ending in the search for a missing father and son following an avalanche.
RCMP in Lake Louise confirm that an 11-year-old boy and his 33-year-old father from Montreal were killed after being swept away in an avalanche.
The two were reported missing after they failed to check out of their Lake Louise hotel.

RCMP with the help of a Parks Canada dog handler discovered their bodies in avalanche debris at the base of Mount Fairview, on the shores of Lake Louise, Saturday afternoon.
According to Parks Canada the pair had rented a toboggan, it was also found in the avalanche debris.

Officials have not released their names
Their deaths come after a man and woman were killed in an avalanche last weekend, while snowshoeing in the same area.
