TORONTO – It looks like disgraced sprinter Ben Johnson and a former “Trailer Park Boys” actor will be part of the effort to get Mayor Rob Ford re-elected.
The mayor announced the disgraced Olympian will be joining his campaign team in an impromptu press conference outside of his city hall office Tuesday afternoon.

“We all made mistakes in life,” Ford said. “I supported him from day one and that’s the bottom line.”
Johnson only said the mayor has his “full support.”
Ford didn’t specify what Johnson would be doing as part of his re-election effort. His office refused to comment and emails to his chief of staff went unreturned.
At the same press conference, Ford announced Sam Tarasco will also join his team. Tarasco is an actor who played a bit part on low-brow TV show “The Trailer Park Boys” as Sam “The Caveman” Losco.
