HALIFAX – Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil’s office says the premier’s communications director has been placed on administrative leave.
A statement issued late Tuesday from the premier’s office says Kyley Harris has been placed on leave with pay “after charges for a domestic matter.”

Laurel Munroe, the premier’s spokeswoman, wasn’t able to provide any details on what led to Harris being placed on leave.
She directed questions to Halifax Regional Police.

Sgt. Greg Robinson says the police department does not normally comment on domestic incidents and had no other details on the case.
Harris could not immediately be reached for comment.
