On June 12, voters head to the polls in the 2014 Ontario election. Learn more about the candidates and political history of the riding of Parkdale-High Park.
This diverse riding on Toronto’s western waterfront is bordered by the Humber River to the west, the CP rail line to the north, and Dufferin to the east.
History
Cheri DiNova won this riding for the NDP in a 2006 by-election after Liberal Gerard Kennedy made the leap into federal politics, and has held the seat ever since. The area has tended to vote for the NDP and Liberal candidates, but the wealthier neighbourhoods in the west of this riding have often supported the Tories.
