MD Ambulance paramedics pronounced the 3-year-old cyclist dead at the scene.

The boy’s name has not been released at this time.

Preliminary investigation has revealed the cyclist entered the roadway and collided with a utility trailer being pulled by a westbound vehicle.

The collision analyst unit attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say speed and alcohol are not contributing factors.
