Low-flying jet part of Nav Canada tests over Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – A low-flying jet that buzzed over St. James near the Richardson International Airport was testing Nav Canada systems in Winnipeg, airport officials say.

People watched the as the plane flew at an unusually low altitude over neighbourhoods near the airport on Thursday morning.

The jet was conducting test runs on instrument landing systems and other air traffic control systems at the airport.
