MONTREAL — Police in Longueuil are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for shooting more than a hundred buckshot pellets into a dog’s head and throat.
The three-year-old Husky was left, abandoned in the streets, until it was discovered by a Good Samaritan on Sept. 30, who took the dog to a local veterinarian.
“It’s just shocking, and with the area where he was found, this can’t be a hunting accident, someone did this deliberately,” said Longueuil police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Voutsinos.

An X-ray revealed dozens of small pellets, several of which had hit the dog’s eyes — and it was a long and excrutiating process to remove all of the pellets.
