TORONTO – Officials at Mount Sinai hospital say “appropriate action” has been taken against two employees who accessed Rob Ford’s health records without authorization.
Hospital officials confirmed Thursday two unidentified staff members who were not part of the mayor’s medical team accessed the information.

“We became aware of this activity through a robust system of safeguards and auditing procedures designed to ensure compliance to our security and privacy standards,” the hospital said in a statement.
The hospital did not say exactly how the staff members were disciplined. The mayor has been notified.

The mayor is currently undergoing multiple rounds of chemotherapy to battle a large tumour in his abdomen.
He was diagnosed with pleomorphic liposarcoma in September after doctors found a 12 x 12 centimetr tumour in his abdomen.
