UPDATE: Woman hit by car in Brentwood now in critical condition

CALGARY – Calgary Police say the condition of a woman hit by a vehicle in Brentwood Friday morning has deteriorated.

She is now listed in life threatening condition.

Emergency crews rushed two people to hospital on Friday after the pedestrian collision in the community of Brentwood.

It happened in the 1200 block of Northmount Drive N.W. shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Police say a woman in her 40s was crossing the street with a four-year-old boy when they were hit by a car.

The woman was transported to the Foothills Hospital in serious but stable condition while the boy was taken to the Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

It’s unknown if any charges will be laid against the driver.
