WINNIPEG – The announcement that the beer snake will be allowed to return to Blue Bombers games unleashed a series of jokes from the Winnipeg Twitterati.

News that the Bombers would again allow the beer-cup “snakes” to be built after they were banned four years ago unleashed a series of biting 140-character jokes about a team that can’t seem to find success on the field.

The beersnake’s return is like Mr. Burns giving the employees a keg to distract them from the loss of their dental plan.
