VANCOUVER – North Vancouver RCMP have a photo of a man who allegedly stole two poppy boxes on Nov. 4 and they want the public’s help to identify him.
Police say at about 9 p.m. the suspect entered a drug store on Lonsdale Avenue and allegedly stole a poppy box off the counter. About 20 minutes later the same man entered a gas station a few blocks away and while paying for gas and goods with various coins, he then stole the poppy box off that counter.

“People give to the poppy fund out of respect and remembrance”, said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. “When someone steals a poppy box they are taking money from someone who has served our country.”
If you can identify this man you are asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
