VANCOUVER – Friday marks the final full day of campaigning before voters head to the polls in civic elections across B.C.
Advance voting is up in many parts of B.C., including a dramatic 98 per cent increase in Vancouver from 2011.

The city says more than 38,000 ballots have already been cast ahead of tomorrow’s election. The latest polls show the gap between incumbent Mayor Gregor Robertson and his chief challenger Kirk LaPointe, has narrowed to between four and five points.
This year’s campaign has been particularly negative and as the last few hours wind down, both sides are firing their shots at each other.
