Prince Albert doctor loses licence for having sex with patient

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A Prince Albert doctor’s licence has been revoked for a year after he admitted to having sex with a patient. Nigel Painter also admitted to helping one of his patients write a letter to the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

The letter denied the relationship had taken place. Since then, the patient has participated in the processes against Painter.

Painter must go through counselling if he intends to practice again.

He had been practicing general medicine in the province since 2002.
