VANCOUVER – Campbell River on Vancouver Island is seeing some flooding and road closures today due to the storm moving across B.C.’s South Coast.

Strong winds could also be a possibility today and about 100 customers are already dealing with power outages, with power expected to be restored between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Road closures due to flooding:

  • 16th between Ironwood and Maple is closed due to flooding.
  • 14thand Cedar Intersection closed
  • 12thfrom Dogwood to Greenwood closed

Barricades have been set up to mark water on the road at the following locations:

  • 16tharound Maple and west
  • Hwy. 19A at the base of the hill near Hidden Harbour
  • Alder and 7th
  • Willis Road
