TORONTO — North Korean leader Kim Jong-un received a message Saturday from a depilated dictator obsessed with world domination: Dr. Evil.
“You’re one of the most evil countries in the world and your act of war is to kill a movie?,” asked Dr. Evil, played by Canadian actor Mike Myers, in the cold opening of Saturday Night Live.
“It’s easy to kill a movie. Just move it to January.”

The villainous feline-stroking character from 1997’s Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and its 1999 and 2002 sequels said he is furious that North Korea and Sony Pictures “have both given evil organizations a bad name” and expressed surprise North Korea threatened the U.S. and Sony Pictures over The Interview.

“I haven’t seen balls like that in Pyongyang since Dennis Rodman changed into his shorty-shorts,” he said, referring to the former NBA star who has a friendship with Jong-un. “But why pick on Sony? They haven’t had a hit since the Walkman.”
Dr. Evil also took a shot at his alter ego. “If you really want to put a bomb in a theatre, do what I did,” he said. “Put in The Love Guru.”
Myers’ 2008 made-in-Toronto comedy was a flop, earning only $41 million worldwide.
Myers, 51, was a cast member on SNL from 1989 to 1995.
