SASKATOON – A man has suffered non-life threatening injuries after being attacked in Saskatoon Thursday night. It happened around 11 p.m. in the 1100-block of Idylwyld Drive.

Police say the man was assaulted by approximately eight people. One was armed with a machete and others had what appeared to be bear mace.

The victim’s hands and stomach were injured from being hit by the machete. There is no word on his current condition.

Several personal items were also taken.

Descriptions of the suspects are vague. One is a First Nations man who was wearing a red hoodie with a red bandana. Another is described as a Caucasian man wearing a gas mask and the third also a man wearing a black hoodie and ski mask.
