Nicki Minaj: Tour manager killed in ‘senseless act of violence’

TORONTO — Rap superstar Nicki Minaj is mourning the loss of her tour manager while another member of her team is in hospital with stab wounds.

De’Von Pickett, 29, died after being stabbed outside a Philadelphia bar early Wednesday morning. Eric Parker, 27, remains in critical condition.

The two men were involved in an altercation outside Che Bar & Grill, according to the local NBC station.

Minaj called it “another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy” on Instagram. “So sad,” she wrote.

Earlier, Minaj shared the tragic news on Twitter.

Police are looking for the man suspected of stabbing Pickett and Parker.

Pickett previously worked for Pharrell Williams.

Police said Parker is expected to survive.

Minaj is scheduled to kick off a tour in Sweden on March 16.
