REGINA – The University of Regina Students’ Union said two hosts of their campus bar’s trivia night have resigned after making offensive remarks.

A statement posted to the URSU website states that inappropriate jokes were made by the trivia night hosts at The Owl March 5th.

“URSU has determined that the contracted performer also behaved aggressively and inappropriately towards patrons,” the statement reads.

The statement goes on to state the two hosts have resigned from their involvement with the event in the future, and taken responsibility for the verbal confrontation.

“URSU wholeheartedly condemns the remarks that were made.  Humour about sexual violence is never acceptable.”
