Inquest to be held in April for death of Lee Bonneau

REGINA – A public inquest into the death of a young Saskatchewan boy is scheduled to take place in April.

On August 22, 2013 6 year-old Lee Allen Bonneau was found badly injured on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation after a 10 year-old boy assaulted him.

Bonneau was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead a short time later.

Bonneau was in the care of the Ministry of Social Services and living with his foster parents when he died. The boy that attacked him was too young to face charges, so there has not been a trial.

The inquest into how Bonneau died will begin on April 6th at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Regina.
