REGINA – Figures from Regina police show that the overall crime rate in the Saskatchewan capital has gone down by just over 32 per cent in the last 10 years.

A report from the Board of Police Commissioners also shows that most specific crime categories are also down — anywhere from 30 to 60 per cent since 2005.

On an annual basis, overall crime declined by just under one per cent between 2013 and 2014.

There were bump-ups, however, in the areas of crimes against persons and crimes involving property.
