WINNIPEG – Police taped off the alley behind Winnipeg’s Siloam Mission and removed three Dumpsters covered with tarps Monday morning – but they won’t say why. The garbage bins were later unloaded at the City of Winnipeg street maintenance building at 1220 Pacific Ave.

Multiple police were at the downtown homeless shelter’s taped-off back-alley loading zone as the Dumpsters were loaded onto a flatbed truck shortly before 10 a.m. Police were also present as they were unloaded at Pacific Avenue.

A police spokeswoman said she couldn’t release any information about what police are investigating.
