Pair arrested after stolen property found during Saskatoon traffic stop

SASKATOON – Two people are scheduled to appear in court after a traffic stop in Saskatoon turned up stolen property. Police made the traffic stop in the 1800-block of 22nd Street West around 9:45 p.m.

The vehicle in question was thought to have been used in multiple break and enters in Saskatoon and the surrounding area.

A search of the vehicle turned up stolen property. The licence plate on the vehicle had also been reported stolen.

A 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman are facing charges of possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Police say they are continuing to investigate and expect more charges to be laid.
