A check determined the vehicle had been reported stolen two days earlier.

One of the boys tried to flee when officers approached the vehicle, but he was quickly captured. While an officer was attempting to handcuff him in front of the vehicle, it started to roll forward, striking both the officer and the suspect.

The officer was able to push the vehicle off of the boy’s leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
