Boundaries: Essentially “West Regina”, it encompasses everything west of Albert Street south of Victoria Avenue, and everything west of Pasqua Avenue north of it.
Last Election: This is a new seat created from the Regina-specific areas of Palliser (which elected Conservative MP Ray Boughen by 2.3 per cent in 2011) and Regina-Lumsden-Lake Centre (which elected Conservative MP Tom Lukiwski by 17 per cent).

However, had it existed in the last election, the NDP would have taken it by 506 more votes than the Conservatives (based on polling results), because the they received the vast majority of their votes in Regina, while the Conservatives received most of their votes in the rural areas outside the city.
History: The two urban-rural ridings Regina-Lewvan came from had elected Conservative candidates in the last four elections.
The redistribution, which gave Regina two seats to itself, was heavily opposed by the Conservative party.

Demographics: The median income is $39,868, highest for both Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

NDP: Erin Weir, economist with the United Steelworkers and 2004 candidate in Regina-Wascana
Liberal: Louis Browne, former two-term Regina City Councillor
Green: Tamela Friesen, admissions clerk at the University of Regina
Libertarian: Wojciech Dolata, oncologist
