Yorkton RCMP charge teen after finding marijuana, rifle in car

YORKTON, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a 17-year-old with trafficking marijuana after they stopped a car early Monday morning. Officers conducted the vehicle stop on 1st Avenue North in Yorkton.

As a result, an undisclosed amount of marijuana was seized from the vehicle along with a 22-calibre rifle.

The RCMP investigation led to charges of trafficking marijuana and several firearm-related offences against the teenager.

The accused was released and will appear in Yorkton provincial youth court at a later date.
