CALGARY – Police are investigating the death of a woman in the community of Pineridge.
Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Pinehill Road N.E. to check on the welfare of the resident around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday
When they arrived, investigators discovered one woman dead inside the home. Police took one man into custody.
Although the Homicide Unit has been called in to investigate, police are so far only calling the death “undetermined” and not a homicide.
Neighbours say it’s not the first time they’ve seen police at the home.

An autopsy is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
The death happened three days after 27-year-old David Quach was shot to death just a few blocks away in the driveway of a home along California Blvd. N.E.
Quach’s death is Calgary’s 16th homicide of 2015. A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the death.
