Man’s death on Saskatchewan First Nation believed to be suspicious

SHELLBROOK, Sask. – RCMP believe a man’s death in Saskatchewan is suspicious in nature. At around 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, RCMP were called to an injured male on Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

EMS and STARS air ambulance also responded, but paramedics declared the man dead at the scene. The victim’s name and age have not been released at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place Friday at Saskatoon City Hospital.

The office of the chief coroner is assisting Shellbrook RCMP and RCMP Major Crime Unit North with the investigation.
