TORONTO – Three separate stabbings throughout the city of Toronto keep police busy Sunday morning.

The first occurred around 12:20 a.m. in Noble Park near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue. Police said Russell Sahadeo, 23, and his friends were approached by two  other men, and got into a fight. One of the two men stabbed Sahadeo in the chest and both fled the scene in a car.

Sahadeo was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police are looking for the suspects, who are described as one Asian man and one black man, both in their early twenties.

The second stabbing occurred at 42nd Street around 12:40 a.m. during an attempted robbery. The victim was taken to St. Michael’s Hosptial with serious injuries to his chest. A K9 unit was called in to search the area, but there are no reports of suspects in custody.

The final stabbing happened at Falstaff Avenue at 4:20 a.m. A man was stabbed in the chest and shoulder during a fight on the 11th floor hallway of an apartment building.

The victim was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital with serious injuries.
