WINNIPEG — A high risk sex offender is back behind bars after getting away from officers. Police say 38-year-old Winston George Thomas was intoxicated and trespassing through the CP Rail Yards near the Arlington St. Bridge Tuesday afternoon.

An officer placed Thomas under arrest, but he struggled and got away. The officer was injured from falling on the tracks while the suspect managed to climb under a train and flee the area. Police eventually tracked the suspect down and arrested him Wednesday night.
