WINNIPEG — An Executive from the ride sharing service company, Uber, is in Winnipeg Wednesday.
Uber Canada is set to discuss it’s service with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Those discussions will be live broadcast through periscope at 1 p.m.

Uber is an app that allows people to track their taxi drivers in real time, pay in advance and rate their drivers.
While the company isn’t yet in Winnipeg, Uber is in more than 200 cities across the world, including at two other Canadian cities, Toronto and Montreal.
In September, two major Winnipeg taxi cab companies formed an alliance and launched a campaign in an attempt to stop ride sharing services, such as Uber, from coming into the Winnipeg area.
