Pedestrian, 65, struck by vehicle at Saskatoon intersection dies

SASKATOON – A 65-year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle at a Saskatoon intersection a week ago has passed away in hospital. The victim’s name is not being released by police.

The pedestrian was struck while crossing the intersection northbound on Broadway Avenue across 8th Street at around 8:52 a.m. CT on Oct. 17.

MD Ambulance transported the pedestrian to hospital with critical injuries. Police say the victim passed away Saturday.

Last week, police said the vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn to travel eastbound on 8th. The collision analyst unit continues to investigate the incident.
