HALIFAX- Halifax Regional Police responded to three pedestrians struck by vehicles at three separate crosswalks in HRM on Monday night. All three accidents were less than three hours apart.
The first vehicle pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Hollis Street and Duke Street around 5:30pm.
A truck driven by a 48-year-old man was making a turn when it hit a 49-year-old woman who was crossing in a marked crosswalk.
The woman was taken to hospital.

The driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
Less than an hour later, at 6:20 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Atlantic Street in Dartmouth.
A 38-year-old woman was crossing Pleasant Street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car.
She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

At 7:45 pm, members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to another vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the 300 block of Lacewood Drive.
A 30 year old female was crossing the street when she was struck by a van that had been travelling on Lacewood Drive.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital by EHS paramedics for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The 48 year old male driver of the van was also ticketed.
