Earlier this year, three men were sentenced to 520 years each in prison for the deaths of the young people, who were kidnapped on May 26, 2013, from the Heaven bar less than a block from the city’s flagship Paseo de la Reforma boulevard.

Their bodies were found later at a mass grave outside the city. Authorities say the killing was part of a dispute between gangs that control drug sales in the capital.
On Sunday, former police officer Edgar Ernesto Gutierrez Vera and Andres Estuard Henonet Gonzalez also received 520-year sentences.
