WINNIPEG — Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry has been sent down to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose after struggling to score during the first-half of the season.

The NHL sophomore has a goal and seven assists in 31 games this year. He had 11 goals to go with 12 assists in 80 games with the Jets last season.

“We want to get him to a place down there that he’s feeling good about his game,” said Jets head coach Paul Maurice. “He hasn’t been as good in the first part of the year as we hoped he would be.”

It’s now known how long Lowry will spend in the minors. He will suit up in the first of back-to-back Moose home games against the San Antonio Rampage tonight. The Jets return to action Friday when they host the New York Rangers.
