Canada’s inflation rate jumps to 1.4% in November

OTTAWA – Canada’s annual inflation rate jumped in November to 1.5 per cent, from 1.0 per cent in October, largely because of higher food prices.

The increase reported by Statistics Canada was slightly less than analyst estimates.
