PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – An inmate serving time at a provincial jail for women in Prince Albert has died. Saskatchewan Justice officials say the inmate who was serving time at the Pine Grove Correctional Centre died Sunday night in hospital.

Drew Wilby, a ministry spokesman, says investigators don’t believe her death was criminal.

Her identity and the circumstances of her death were not released.
She was being held in her own cell at the jail.
Wilby says police, the government and the coroner are investigating.
