U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say the woman was stopped Wednesday at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge border crossing.

She had told officers she was heading into New York state to buy tickets for Wednesday night’s $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot.

Officials say the marijuana was worth about $60,000. The woman was turned over the New York State Police.
