After Tuesday’s announcement that more than 400 jobs would be cut at PotashCorp’s Picadilly mine in Sussex, another company is offering to pick up some of the slack — with a catch.
K+S Potash Canada says it will be hosting a job fair at the Gateway Mall from Friday to Sunday, as the company looks to hire 100 people for its Legacy Project mine.

The mine is located near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, although the company says it will offer relocation assistance depending on the position.
PotashCorp has also said more than 100 jobs will be available for employees who want to join its Saskatchewan-based operations.

Jobs to be filled at K+S Potash include tradespeople and operators in the production and maintenance areas at the site.
The company says the Legacy Project will be the first new greenfield potash mine built in Saskatchewan in nearly 40 years.
A booth will be set up to accept contact information, résumés and answer questions on Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
