TORONTO — Police say a suspect wanted for first-degree murder in the city’s latest homicide is now in custody.
A man turned himself in late Friday night after police in Toronto released his name earlier.
Police said the suspect was wanted in connection with the death of 87-year-old Rocco Zito, who was found dead around 5 p.m. Friday after reports of a shooting in the Playfair Avenue and Caledonia Road area.

Police released information late Friday night saying 51-year-old Domenico Scopelliti was wanted for first-degree murder, and was considered “armed and dangerous.”

Less than an hour later, Scopelliti turned himself in to police at 12 Division at 11:43 p.m.
He is expected to be in court Saturday at 10 a.m.
An autopsy on Zito’s body will be done Saturday.
