QUEBEC CITY – Parti Québécois leader Pierre Karl Péladeau said he will personally pay the contract of a headhunter tasked with recruiting a director for a new institute on Quebec sovereignty.

Péladeau said the institute will be independent from the PQ.
His office would not divulge the value of the contract.

François Legault of the Coalition Avenir Quebec‘s said Péladeau should clarify whether the money is a loan or financing and that the situation raises questions about the links between the PQ and the new institute.
