TORONTO — Drake has cemented his status as the “6 God” — getting handed the key to the city by Mayor John Tory.
The international rap star and local ambassador, looking dapper in a suit and tie, was given the ceremonial award Friday at an NBA All-Star weekend for his contributions to the city.
In accepting the honour, Drake — born Aubrey Drake Graham and raised in Forest Hill before hitting international fame — spoke of the city’s diversity.
