The Compass trial period for TransLink riders is coming to a close.
On Monday, April 4, TransLink will start closing the remaining open fare gates.
By Friday, April 8, all fare gates at SkyTrain and SeaBus stations will be closed. Then all customers will need a Compass Card or Compass ticket to use SkyTrain and SeaBus.

They can continue to use cash or FareSavers on buses, but they will need a Compass Card or Compass Ticket to get on SkyTrain and SeaBus.

TransLink says it is working closely with people with disabilities and will introduce what it calls a “station assistance service” to help customers without the ability to tap.
So far more than 675,000 customers have switched to Compass.
About 300,000 Compass Cards are tapped on an average weekday.
