One person is dead and three others were injured following a high-speed crash in Mission early Saturday morning.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. near Stave Lake, an area popular with off-roaders.

A female passenger in the back seat of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were transported to hospital.

RCMP believe speed was a factor in the crash.

Burma Road is a gravel road full of twists and turns, and it was pouring rain at the time of the crash.
