Last Election: The NDP’s Sharon Blady defeated Progressive Conservative candidate Kelly de Groot with only 21 votes after a judicial recount.

History: Prior to the 2007 election, this riding was held exclusively by the Tories since its creation in 1981. In 2007 Blady won with just more than 1,000 votes. She repeated the victory in 2011, but with the smallest margin in the province, just 21 votes.
