Last Election: NDP MLA Nancy Allan won her fourth and final term, defeating PC challenger Mike Brown by over 2100 votes, 60-35 per cent.
History: Allan, a former cabinet minister, has won the riding by large margins since 1999, but it was previously held by Progressive Conservative MLA Shirley Render from 1990 to 1999.
