Summary: Matt Wiebe seeks re-election in Concordia, one of the safest ridings historically for the NDP in Winnipeg.

Boundaries: A working-class riding directly east of downtown, Concordia is bordered by Gateway Road to the west, the rail line next to Mission Avenue to the south, Panet Road to the east, and Tu-Pelo Avenue to the north.

Last Election: Wiebe defeated PC candidate Naseer Ahmed Warraich by over 2200 votes, 63-28 per cent.

History: The riding was created prior to the 1981 election, and has always voted for NDP candidates. Former NDP Premier Gary Doer held Concordia from 1986 to 2009.
