Boundaries: Elmwood is bordered by the Red River to the west, Gateway Road to the east, and Mossdale and Dunbeath Avenue to the north.
Last Election: Maloway defeated PC candidate David Hutten by over 1400 votes, 54-34 per cent.

History: The riding was created prior to the 1958 election, and has solely elected NDP/CCF candidates in the 58 years since. From 2008 to 2011, longtime NDP MP Bill Blaikie was MLA, but he decided to retire after one term, paving the way for Maloway to return.
