Minimum wage is going up in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick this week, giving people working minimum wage jobs a little boost.
Starting Friday, minimum wage in Nova Scotia will be $10.70, a 10-cent increase over the current rate.
In New Brunswick, the minimum wage is increasing by 35 cents, making the new wage $10.65.
Nova Scotia is also increasing its rate for inexperienced workers – those with less than three months experience – from $10.10 per hour to $10.20 per hour.

New Brunswick has promised to increase the minimum wage in the province to $11 per hour by 2017.
Rates are also going up in Prince Edward Island. All three Maritime provinces have agreed to align their respective minimum wages.
