As a precaution, nearby Campus Regina Public’s Cochrane site went into “secure-the-building protocol”, same with Cornwall Alternative School.

Police did not find any evidence of a gun threat, but they did arrest an 18-year-old male in the area who had a number of arrest warrants.

The secure-the-building protocol was lifted within 40 minutes.
